At Dibdaa, the safety and security of our community is important to us. We work to provide a trusted marketplace where buyers and sellers can transact with confidence.

There are also simple steps every member of the Dibdaa community can take to help protect themselves, their account and their transactions.

Use Secure Payment Methods

Only use the approved payment methods available through Dibdaa.

Do not send payment directly to another user by bank transfer, external payment link or another payment method outside Dibdaa.

Keeping your payment within Dibdaa helps ensure that your transaction can benefit from the protections available on the platform.

Never provide your card details, passwords, verification codes or other sensitive payment information directly to another user.

Check Listings and Users Carefully

Before completing a transaction, review the item description, condition, photographs, price and seller information carefully.

Check ratings and other information available on Dibdaa to help you make an informed decision.

If something looks unusual, the information doesn't appear consistent or an offer seems too good to be true, take extra care before proceeding.

Keep Your Account Secure

To help protect your Dibdaa account:

• Use a strong and unique password.
• Never share your password, verification codes or login credentials with anyone.
• Do not allow another person to access your Dibdaa account.
• Be cautious of messages asking you to click unfamiliar links or provide personal, account or payment information.
• Regularly review your account activity and report anything you do not recognise.

Dibdaa will never ask you to provide your password to another buyer or seller.

Keep Transactions on Dibdaa

Where Dibdaa provides a payment or transaction process, use it.

Be cautious if another user asks you to make payment outside Dibdaa, use an unfamiliar payment link or bypass the normal transaction process.

Completing transactions outside Dibdaa may mean that the protections available through the platform cannot be applied.

Stay Safe When Collecting Items

Where buyer collection is available, agree the collection arrangements carefully and take reasonable precautions when meeting another user.

Never confirm that you have received an item until it has actually been handed over to you.

Once you receive the item, check that it matches the listing and is in the expected condition before confirming that it has been received in good order.

Inspect Your Item Promptly

When an item is purchased through Dibdaa, the buyer has up to 48 hours after receiving the item to inspect it and raise an eligible issue.

If everything is in good order, the buyer can confirm acceptance earlier so that the seller's funds can be released without waiting for the full inspection period.

If there is an eligible problem with the item, raise the issue through Dibdaa within the 48-hour inspection period.

Be Accurate and Honest When Selling

Sellers should provide clear photographs and accurate information about the item they are selling, including its condition and any known damage, defects or other important information.

Do not intentionally hide faults, use misleading photographs or provide inaccurate information about an item.

Sellers are also responsible for ensuring that the items they list are permitted to be sold on Dibdaa and can legally be sold in the UAE.

Be Alert to Suspicious Behaviour

Be cautious if another user:

• pressures you to complete a transaction outside Dibdaa;
• asks you to make payment through an unfamiliar link;
• requests your password, verification code or payment information;
• provides information that does not match their listing or transaction;
• asks you to falsely confirm that an item has been received;
• behaves in a way that makes you uncomfortable or suspicious.

If you are unsure, do not proceed with the transaction until you are satisfied that it is legitimate.

Report Suspicious Activity

If you notice suspicious behaviour, fraudulent listings, attempted scams or other activity that may breach Dibdaa's rules, please report it to our support team.

Where possible, provide relevant information, screenshots, photographs or other evidence to help us review the issue.

Buyer & Seller Responsibility

Dibdaa works to provide a safe and trusted marketplace, but buyers and sellers should also exercise reasonable care when buying, selling, communicating, arranging collections or completing deliveries.

Users should follow Dibdaa's transaction processes and act honestly and responsibly when dealing with other members of the community.

We continuously review and improve our security measures to help maintain a trusted marketplace environment for the entire Dibdaa community.
